The official version of V-Ray 2 SP1 for 3ds Max 2012 has been released! Constructive Media will be upgrading all of its systems to take full advantage of bug fixes and enhancements, and also looks forward to the speed increase that 3ds Max 2012 will (hopefully) bring.
The long-awaited release of 3D Studio Max 2012 has been made available by AutoDesk, and we’re looking forward to seeing if it is all that it is hyped up to be! This version promises much accelerated viewports, together with a raft of other speed increases.
Microsoft has announced that Internet Explorer 9 will be released on March 14 – however it will only run on Windows 7 so if you’re using XP you won’t be able to upgrade. Internet Explorer 9 will support HTML5 and video acceleration.

As subscription members, Constructive Media was given an extra-special treat from AutoDesk yesterday with the release of the Subscription Advantage Pack for 3ds Max 2011 – this has added substance procedural textures, PhysX rigid-body dynamics, and iray photorealistic renderer.

The brilliant folk at Chaos Group have announced the release of the latest version of VRay – 1.5SP4. VRay is the rendering engine that we use to produce the stunning 3D visuals that you see in our work.
A special visit to the motion capture studio “Beyond Motion” resulted in the Managing Director being kitted out in a black lycra and velcro suit (not his usual attire so don’t get any ideas)
Always at the cutting edge, Constructive Media is praising the latest release of 3D Studio Max 2010 – Service Pack 1. This seems to have fixed up the bitmap pager issue and now all our renderfarm nodes are back up and running at full speed.
Constructive Media is now fuelled by two new things: the first is a brand new coffee machine which is delivering us hit after hit of glorious caffiene, and the other is (believe it or not) – methane gas!
